Youth Campaigns · Visual Identity · Art Direction · Digital & Social
The brief
To create a youth-focused campaign that would encourage young people across the West Midlands to engage with the region’s Combined Authority and have their voices heard. The project required a visual identity and campaign system that could feel relevant, energetic and accessible to a younger audience, while still working within the context of a public-sector organisation.
The approach
I developed a bold, contemporary visual language designed to feel more connected to youth culture than traditional public-sector communications. The campaign used strong typography, vibrant colour, graphic shapes and engaging imagery to create a flexible system that could work across different formats and channels.
My role included:
- Creative Direction – Developing the overall visual concept and campaign direction.
- Visual Identity – Typography, colour, graphic language and supporting visual assets.
- Campaign Design – Developing the campaign artwork across multiple communications.
- Art Direction – Establishing the photographic and visual approach.
A campaign built to engage
The visual system was designed to translate consistently across digital, social and physical campaign touchpoints, giving the campaign a recognisable presence while allowing individual communications to remain dynamic.
The Final Result
A flexible campaign identity designed to communicate with a younger audience across multiple channels while maintaining a clear connection to the West Midlands Combined Authority.
